In response to changes in Medicare, our client needed a new building prototype that could provide the same level of care with reduced staff. A design charette at their office expedited the design process and get valuable and immediate feedback from key staff. Staffing cuts came in skilled nursing, so the placement of the nurse/caregiver station was critical. the main public entrance for Rehab and SNF are at the front, while the assisted living entrance is located in the back. The main dining is two stories with open railings above and direct access to the roof terrace. Future expansion would include a community center and fitness functions.
